Corporate Body Extends Workplace Safety Focus to Public Roads
Neyveli, March 9, 2026 – NLC India Limited (NLCIL) marked the observance of 'National Safety Month' this week, an annual initiative aiming to underscore responsibilities for safer work environments. The observances, which commenced on March 4, coincide with the National Safety Council's Foundation Day.
Central to the month's commencement was a Safety Flag Hoisting ceremony and a Presidential address by CMD, Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli. Motupalli's remarks emphasized the critical role of 'proactive safety practices', 'employee awareness', and strict 'adherence to established safety protocols'. He also highlighted NLCIL's ongoing commitment to reinforcing its safety culture through continuous employee engagement and education.
Beyond the confines of its operational sites, NLCIL organized a 'Two-Wheeler Road Safety Rally' on March 7. This event, involving approximately 120 participants, traversed from the Corporate Office to the New Services Unit within Neyveli Township. The rally's stated aim was to promote 'helmet usage' and adherence to 'traffic rules', extending safety consciousness to the broader public and reminding both employees and the general populace of responsible driving practices.
