Mumbai, May 14 – Actor Mouni Roy and businessman Suraj Nambiar have publicly confirmed the end of their four-year marriage. In a joint statement shared on social media on Thursday, the couple announced their decision to "part ways" and "mutually chosen to move forward on separate paths."
The pair has cited "evolving personal priorities" as the reason for their separation, while also issuing a request for privacy and condemning what they described as "sensationalised" and "fictitious narratives" surrounding their personal lives.
The announcement follows weeks of speculation, amplified by observations that the couple had ceased following each other on social media platforms. Some reports also suggested that wedding photos were removed from Nambiar's Instagram profile prior to the official confirmation.
The joint statement emphasized an intent to address matters "privately and amicably," and concluded with the sentiment that they "will endeavour to cherish our friendship in times to come." The comment sections on their social media posts were subsequently disabled.
