Chennai, March 10, 2026 - Chief Minister M.K. Stalin recently inaugurated a series of civic infrastructure projects and welfare initiatives within his Kolathur constituency. Further investment has been directed towards a modern library and Mudhalvar Padaipagam, built for an estimated ₹4.75 crore, aimed at assisting students preparing for competitive examinations. The inauguration also included upgraded sewage pumping stations, a project amounting to ₹12.48 crore, and a new school building constructed at a cost of ₹3.25 crore. Other inaugurated facilities include a women's gymnasium (₹49 lakh) and a multi-purpose building with two fair price shops (₹41 lakh).

These projects were executed through the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA), the Greater Chennai Corporation, and the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board.
