A young woman is undergoing critical medical treatment in Delhi following a severe alleged assault by her live-in partner in Gurugram. The incident came to light after the survivor contacted her mother, who then alerted the police. Authorities have arrested the 19-year-old live-in partner, Shivam, a resident of Delhi, in connection with the case. He was apprehended at a paying guest accommodation in Gurugram.

The survivor, 19 years old, reportedly met Shivam through an online dating app in the previous year. Their relationship progressed to a live-in arrangement in Gurugram.
According to the woman's statement to the police, the alleged assault began on February 16 after an argument concerning their marriage plans. The violence reportedly continued for three consecutive days, until February 19.
