Paige Shiver, formerly an executive assistant to ex-University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore, has broken her silence about a nearly four-year relationship with the married father of three. In tearful interviews, Shiver revealed she became pregnant by Moore during their affair and that he allegedly exerted significant control over her life and career. Shiver reported the relationship to university officials last year, leading to Moore's termination in December.
Shiver described the relationship as consensual initially but claimed Moore became increasingly manipulative. "He had complete control over me, over my emotions, over my career — and he knew that and he used it against me," Shiver stated in an interview with ABC's "Good Morning America." She detailed instances where Moore allegedly pressured her to stay in Michigan and used emotional appeals to maintain his influence.

Moore was fired by the University of Michigan after officials discovered his "inappropriate relationship with a staff member." The university has stated it is "committed to ensuring a professional and respectful workplace for all members of its community" and that Moore was terminated "promptly upon discovering his undisclosed workplace relationship with a direct report."
The affair's fallout included legal repercussions for Moore. Following Shiver's report to the university, Moore was arrested later the same day after allegedly driving to her home, threatening self-harm, and brandishing knives. He was charged with felony home invasion, but eventually reached a plea deal in March. Moore pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of malicious use of a telecommunications device and trespass. He was sentenced on April 14 to 18 months probation, a sentence Shiver indicated was insufficient.

Shiver also spoke about the pregnancy, revealing that Moore's reaction was to tell her "You have to do what’s right for your body." She later experienced a miscarriage, a situation compounded by advice from medical professionals. Moore has made no public comment regarding Shiver's recent interviews.
