Dyson has introduced its first foray into robot vacuums that combine both sweeping and mopping functions. The Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai, announced in September 2025 and publicly shown in March 2026, represents the company's latest effort to carve out a niche in an already crowded automated cleaning sector.

The new robot vacuum features an integrated laser for navigation and stain detection, alongside a docking station offering hot-air drying and self-cleaning capabilities for the mop.

This new device replaces Dyson's previous 360 Vis Nav robot vacuum. While Dyson has been keen to highlight the 'AI' aspect of its new offering, details regarding its specific suction power, often measured in Pascals for comparative purposes, remain undisclosed. Early observations suggest the robot is sizable, a point noted by those who have seen it in action.

Dyson's strategy appears to be leaning into advanced features. The Spot+Scrub Ai robot employs roller mops, a design choice that diverges from the spinning mop pads seen in some competing devices. This emphasis on technological advancement aims to differentiate the product.

The release of the Spot+Scrub Ai was initially teased in September 2025, with wider public demonstrations and availability discussions occurring in March 2026. The price point for the Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai has been set at $1,199.99. This positions it as a premium option within the robot vacuum market.
