Hamlin, who started from the pole after a qualifying spin, managed to avoid the multiple crashes that plagued the event, ultimately outdueling teammate Chase Briscoe in the closing stages. The race's treacherous nature saw more than half the 36-car field collected in incidents across the initial segments.
The 350-lap event, making its debut at the Dover circuit, was punctuated by frequent cautions. Prominent among those sidelined were Kyle Larson, who retired with power steering issues, and Chase Elliott, who was involved in two separate wrecks during the first segment. A significant early crash also took out Ryan Preece and several other drivers, setting a chaotic tone.

Briscoe, driving a heavily repaired No. 19 Toyota that sustained damage in a Saturday practice crash, finished second, trailing Hamlin by 0.887 seconds. Their intense battle for the lead in the final 200 laps was a key feature of the race's conclusion. This win marks Joe Gibbs Racing's fourth All-Star Race triumph and extends the gap between Hamlin's two All-Star victories to 11 years, tying him with Kevin Harvick and Terry Labonte for the longest such span. The defending race winner, Ross Chastain, did not feature prominently in this year's event.
