Alice Springs - Northern Territory police hold serious concerns for the welfare of five-year-old Sharon, who vanished from her home in the Old Timers town camp in Alice Springs at the weekend. Investigators are now operating under the belief that the child was abducted, a shift from earlier considerations of her simply wandering off. The investigation is escalating, with a significant police presence deployed in the search.
Authorities are actively seeking Jefferson Lewis, a 47-year-old male, who they believe can provide crucial assistance to their inquiries. The Northern Territory Police Force is urging anyone with information regarding Sharon's whereabouts, or Mr Lewis's location, to contact them immediately on 000.
Sharon was last seen around 11:30pm on Saturday evening. At the time of her disappearance, she was reportedly wearing a dark blue short-sleeved T-shirt with white ring stripes around the neck and sleeves, and black boxer-style underwear. Police have conducted an initial search of the area surrounding her residence on Marshall Court, but have so far been unable to locate her.
