Aldershot Town has confirmed the departure of 12 players, including prominent forwards Kwame Thomas and Hady Ghandour, following the conclusion of the 2025-26 National League season. This significant roster movement coincides with the appointment of Scott Davies as the club's new first-team manager. The club has stated that all remaining players are either under contract for the upcoming 2026-27 season or are engaged in discussions regarding their future at the club.
Thomas, who previously played for Coventry City and Wrexham, registered seven goals in 37 league appearances during his second tenure with Aldershot. Also departing are goalkeepers Coniah Boyce-Clarke, Marcus Dewhurst, and Pat Nash, defenders Luke Jenkins and Josh Brooking, and the versatile player Matt Penney. Other notable departures include defender Olly Scott and midfielders Dejan Tetek, Theo Widdrington, and Tyler Frost, who have been with the club since 2023.

Davies, a former player and manager at Slough Town, takes the helm at Aldershot after an eight-year association with his previous club. His arrival marks a return to Aldershot, where he had three separate loan spells during his playing career. His appointment as manager was accompanied by the release of former Carlisle United goalkeeper Marcus Dewhurst, who had previously spent time on loan with Carlisle and finished the recent campaign on loan at Hampton & Richmond.
In the preceding 2025-26 season, Aldershot Town's scoring efforts involved players such as Cameron Hargreaves, Will Nightingale, Theo Widdrington, Tristan Abrahams, Ciaran Gilligan, Coniah Boyce-Clarke, Ryheem Sheckleford, and Marcus Dewhurst. Pre-season matches from July 2025 indicated contributions from Ghandour, who scored multiple goals in wins against Billericay Town and Met Police, and Thomas, who also found the net in the Billericay match. Other players like Dejan Tetek, Tyler Frost, and Abrahams were noted for their involvement in pre-season victories. The team was ranked 20th in the English National League for scoring statistics.
