Mark Webber, the celebrated former Formula 1 driver, was recently observed at a black-tie event in London, marking a notably rare public appearance with his partner of over two decades, Ann Neal. This sighting offers a glimpse into a relationship that has largely remained out of the public spotlight during Webber's prominent racing career and subsequent ventures.
The couple, who have been together for more than 20 years, maintained a level of discretion regarding their personal life as Webber's fame grew within motorsport. Neal, in past comments, alluded to the practicalities of their early relationship, stating, "I just didn't think it was the right message if I was going to talk to a team boss or a sponsor if I rocked in there saying, 'Oh my partner, my boyfriend'." This approach suggests a strategic decision to prioritize Webber's professional progression.

Webber, an Australian motorsport figure, met Neal in 1994. Their relationship transitioned from professional to personal, despite a 13-year age difference. The couple publicly acknowledged their partnership in 2002, around the time of Webber's debut in Formula 1 at the Australian Grand Prix.
Beyond his racing achievements, Webber has recently been involved in mentoring and managing emerging talent, notably fellow Australian driver Oscar Piastri. His influence was reportedly instrumental in Piastri's controversial move from Alpine to McLaren.
Neal, who had previously managed Webber's career, played a significant role in his early days. She is credited with spotting his talent at age 18 and facilitating his move to Europe to pursue a Formula 1 career. At one point, however, Webber temporarily dismissed her as his manager, reportedly due to the pressures surrounding his career and familial disapproval of their relationship. Their joint venture now includes running a driver management company, JAM Sports Management.
