Reports suggest Kartik Aaryan is in discussions for a project helmed by director Reema Kagti, under the banner of Namah Pictures. This potential collaboration signifies Aaryan's apparent move towards roles that challenge his established on-screen persona. Kagti, known for her work on projects like 'Talaash' and 'Dahaad', brings a reputation for gritty, nuanced storytelling.
Namah Pictures is reportedly developing multiple initiatives. Alongside this potential Aaryan-Kagti venture, the production house is also preparing for the release of its web series 'Phoolan', focusing on a significant period in the life of Phoolan Devi. This series is slated for release on Prime Video later this year, detailing her resistance within a "deeply unequal social structure" during an armed siege.
Diversifying the Slate
Aaryan's career, largely built on commercial rom-coms and horror-comedies, may see a shift with this potential project. Namah Pictures' other ongoing developments include a fantasy drama with Vishal Devrukhkar and a psychological horror thriller with Dnyanesh Zoting.
