The release of the title track for the film 'Chand Mera Dil' has been pushed back by a day. This decision, announced by the production house, serves as a direct tribute to the recently deceased legendary singer Asha Bhosle. Her passing occurred yesterday, leading to the rescheduling of the song's debut.
The film's production, Dharma Productions, confirmed the postponement, citing Bhosle's unparalleled impact on Indian cinema's musical landscape. The decision aligns with the timing of Bhosle's final rites, which are scheduled to take place today in Mumbai.
Filmmaker Karan Johar, associated with the production, also paid homage to the iconic singer on social media. Bhosle, who was 92, passed away at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital due to multiple organ failure. Her career, spanning over seven decades, saw her record thousands of songs across various languages and immortalize tracks such as "Do Lafzon Ki Hai," "Hungamaa Ho Gaya," "Chura Liya Hai," "O Saathi Re," and "Dum Maro Dum." She collaborated with notable composers like R.D. Burman and Bappi Lahiri.

Initially, the title track for 'Chand Mera Dil', a film starring Ananya Panday and Lakshya, was slated for release on April 13th. The song, offering a glimpse in the film's teaser, is intended to set a romantic tone for the movie, which itself is geared towards a theatrical release on May 22nd. The makers aimed for the title track to evoke the kind of romantic recall that characterized older Bollywood soundtracks.
