In one incident on August 8, 2025, a targeted shooting in northeast Calgary left two men in critical condition, with suspects still at large. This follows an earlier event on April 29, 2023, also in northeast Calgary, where a shooting resulted in one fatality and two individuals sustaining life-threatening injuries. A separate incident on August 29, 2025, in northwest Calgary necessitated a 'shelter in place' order for residents.
